MEA PREVIEW — TESTING

The Five-Bag Wardrobe

You do not need dozens of bags to have a great collection. You need bags that do different jobs.

Five handbags of different shapes and colours laid out on a pale plaster background.

A useful way to look at a collection is to forget brands for a moment and think about roles.

1. The everyday bag

This is the one you reach for without thinking. It needs to be comfortable, useful and easy to style. For some people that is a shoulder bag. For others it is a tote or crossbody.

2. The polished bag

This covers work, lunches and moments when you want the outfit to feel more finished. Think structured shapes, clean leather and something that works with tailoring.

3. The evening bag

Smaller. Lighter. And ideally something that feels different from the rest of the collection. This is where texture, embellishment and stronger colour can work.

4. The carry-all

Travel, busy days, laptops, extra shoes, children, life. Every collection benefits from one bag that actually holds things.

5. The wildcard

This is the fun one. It does not need to be practical. It might be a bold colour, unusual shape or something you simply love. That matters too. A collection does not need to be completely sensible.

The MEA Edit

Start here
Build around five different roles, not five versions of the same bag
Everyday essential
Choose comfort, usefulness and ease of styling
Most practical
Keep one carry-all for travel, busy days and everything life adds
Leave room for
One wildcard chosen for pleasure rather than practicality

A great collection is not about quantity. It is about having the right bag available when you need it, plus at least one that makes absolutely no practical sense.
