MEA PREVIEW — TESTING

You Probably Need a Brown Bag More Than Another Black One

Black will always work. That may also be the problem. When a wardrobe already holds several black bags, adding another one rarely changes much.

Brown does. Chocolate, tobacco, tan and caramel bags bring warmth without becoming difficult to style.

Why brown feels current

Brown works particularly well with the colours dominating modern wardrobes: cream, navy, grey, denim, khaki and camel. It gives those colours more depth than black sometimes can.

Chocolate is the easiest place to start

If tan feels too warm, choose dark chocolate. It has much of the versatility of black but feels softer. A chocolate shoulder bag works especially well with navy tailoring, white shirting and blue denim.

Tan works harder in warmer months

Tan and caramel feel lighter. They are particularly useful with linen, white, cream and softer neutral wardrobes. They also make darker clothing feel less heavy.

Brown suede changes the mood completely

Suede makes brown feel even more relaxed. It works especially well with denim, knitwear, loafers and oversized outerwear. The combination feels polished without looking too finished.
